Muscat: More than 400 Omani workers have been laid off from various private sector establishments in Oman during the period from January 1 to March 16, 2022.
According to the General Federation of Oman Workers (GFOW), over 475 citizens working in the private sector establishments were terminated or notified of their services, during the period of January 1 to March 16, 2022. Of those, 259 people were laid off in contracting and construction sector, 102 in commerce and Industry sector, 94 in oil and gas sector and 20 in water, electricity and telecommunications sector.
