MoSD issues new ministerial decision on Social Club for Syrian Community

Muscat: The Ministry of Social Development issued Resolution No. 323/2023 regarding the announcement of the Social Club for the Syrian Community.

Based on the Civil Associations Law issued by Royal Decree No. 14/2000, and the Community Clubs Regulations issued by Ministerial Resolution No. 32/2003, and based on what the public interest requires.

Article One

The Social Club of the Syrian Community shall be declared public and its organization shall be registered in the register of civil society associations prepared for this purpose in the Ministry.

Article Two

A summary of the system of the Syrian Community Social Club is published in the Official Gazette in accordance with established procedures.

Article Three

This decision shall be effective from the date of its issuance, and those concerned shall implement it.

Club name: Social Club of the Syrian Community – Muscat.

Number and date of the club’s announcement:

(323/2023) issued on Jumada al-Ula 29, 1445 AH, corresponding to December 13, 2023.

Club objectives:

1 – Strengthening fraternal and social ties between members of the Syrian community residing in the Sultanate of Oman.

2 – Enhancing the spirit of cooperation and integration among members of the community and exchanging ideas, expertise and the best experiences to benefit from them.

3 – Mobilizing the capabilities of club members in order to serve the cultural, educational, social, sporting and charitable purposes of members of the Syrian community in the Sultanate of Oman.

4 – Introducing the great cultural heritage that Syria possesses and working to highlight Syria’s bright cultural face by all legitimate means and preserving the trust gained by Syrians working in the Sultanate of Oman.

5 – Strengthening fraternal ties between Syria, the Sultanate of Oman, and brotherly and friendly countries.

6 – Connecting young people from the Syrian community to the motherland in terms of its history, present and future.

7 – Harnessing all available capabilities to serve the children of the Syrian community in the Sultanate of Oman.

Club management:

The club is managed by a board of directors consisting of (12) twelve members. Its term is two years, and anyone whose membership expires may be elected.

Club resources:

The financial resources of the Syrian Social Club consist of:

1 – Member subscriptions.

2- Donations and donations.

3 – Activities revenues.
