    • Mosque of Domes in Jalan Bani Bu Ali an ancient Islamic architecture

    Muscat: “Al Hamouda Mosque” or “Domes Mosque” in Ja’alan Bani Bu Ali, its construction dates back to 500 years ago and is characterized by its many domes with 52 domes of Islamic architectural design. Its ceiling is decorated with wood carvings made literally from palm fronds.

    It can accommodate more than 700 worshipers and is considered a center for science, study and preservation of the Holy Qur’an.
