Muscat Stock Exchange Records Strong Session with Index Up 68 Points

Muscat: The MSX 30 Index closed today’s trading session at 5,961.49 points, marking an increase of 68.5 points, or 1.16 percent, compared to the previous close of 5,893.02 points.

Total trading value stood at RO 41,802,113, up by 9.3 percent from Monday’s turnover of RO 37,801,745.

According to a report issued by the Muscat Stock Exchange, total market capitalization rose by 0.397 percent from the previous trading day to reach approximately RO 32.24 billion.

The value of purchases by non-Omani investors amounted to RO 5,491,000, representing 13.30 percent of total trading. Their sales reached RO 3,976,000, or 9.63 percent of total trades. Consequently, net investment by non-Omani investors increased by RO 1,515,000, reflecting a rise of 3.67 percent.
