Muscat Stock Exchange Closes Lower Despite Rise in Market Capitalization
Muscat: The Muscat Stock Exchange (MSX) main index closed lower today, declining by 0.49 percent.
The MSX 30 Index ended the trading session at 6,330.27 points, down 31.2 points from the previous close of 6,361.45 points.
Total trading turnover reached RO 41,740,272, marking a decrease of 28.6 percent compared to the previous session’s turnover of RO 58,490,951.
According to the MSX market report, overall market capitalization increased by 0.197 percent, reaching approximately RO 33.51 billion at the close of trading.
Trading activity by non-Omani investors recorded purchases worth RO 7,041,000, representing 16.87 percent of total market activity, while sales amounted to RO 7,256,000, accounting for 17.38 percent. This resulted in a net investment inflow of RO 215,000 from non-Omani investors, reflecting a decline of 0.51 percent.
