MTCIT launches digital platform to exchange data between Oman and GCC Countries

Muscat: The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology (MTCIT) has developed and launched a digital platform for digital integration, that allows data exchange between government units in the Sultanate of Oman and their counterparts in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.

The move was the outcome of efforts to enhance digital rapprochement and upgrade enhance of cooperation in the field of information exchange, in a pioneering step towards enhancing digital cooperation and integration between the Sultanate of Oman and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.

Eng. Sami Suhail Bait Fadhil, Director General of Infrastructure and Digital Platforms, said: This platform is a strong addition to the digital infrastructure in the Sultanate and in the GCC countries, and represents an opportunity to improve the efficiency of services and enhance cooperation in the digital field between member states.

By facilitating and accelerating digital data exchange by achieving real-time interaction between government institutions through modern technologies and keeping pace with the highest standards of security and privacy by utilizing the protocols of an advanced Gulf network, Bait Fadhil added.
