Muscat: Al Khabourah: The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology (MTCIT) has carried out the first experiment of paving roads using rubber-modified asphalt in the Al Khabourah Dual Link Project.
Rubber modified asphalt is highly flexible and resistant to cracking, corrosion and thermal effects, which contributes to extending the life of the road.
This innovative approach utilizes recycling used tires and reducing environmental pollution caused by tire waste.
