    • Muharram 2021: Hijri New Year holiday announced in Oman

    Muscat: The Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs announces the the Crescent of Month Muharram 1443 AH has Not been sighted this evening, Sunday 29th Dhu’l-Hijjah 1442 AH (8th August 2021), hence tomorrow I.e., Monday (9th August 2021) will mark the end of Dhu’l-Hijjah 1442 AH, and Tuesday (10th August 2021) will mark the beginning of Muharram 1443 AH.

    And on this blessed occasion of the new Hijri year, the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs is please to delver its sincere congratulations and good wishes to His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, May the Almighty Allah protect Him and grant Him good health.

    The Ministry also prays for Oman’s prosperity and the prosperity of the Islamic nation, alike, asking the Almighty to heal the world and protect it.
