Musandam Governor, APSR discuss water and sanitation projects

Khasab: The Office of the Governor of Musandam discussed with the Authority for Public Services Regulation during a meeting today the most important developments, projects and programs in the field of water and sanitation in Musandam Governorate, to find appropriate mechanisms to solve the challenges in this field according to the highest technological levels.

During the meeting – which was attended by His Excellency Sayyid Ibrahim bin Saeed Al Busaidi, Governor of Musandam, and His Excellency Dr. Mansour bin Talib Al Hinai, Chairman of the Authority for Public Services Regulation – the implementation of the project to expand untreated sewage services in Musandam Governorate, which is being implemented by Nama Water Services Company, was discussed, where the company reviewed the most important The project objectives, expected results, most prominent challenges and appropriate solutions in line with global developments in this field.

The company also reviewed the mechanisms followed in how to deal with subscribers’ complaints and the efforts made to monitor water quality in the governorate and provide them with all services in line with the approved regulatory frameworks.

The meeting also included a review of the efforts of the Public Services Regulatory Authority and clarification of its supervisory role with regard to following up on the performance of companies according to the responsibilities assigned to them.
