Musandam Governor meets the delegation of National Employment Programme

Khasab: His Excellency Sayyid Ibrahim bin Saeed Al Busaidi, Governor of Musandam, met in his office today with the technical delegation of the National Employment Programme. Within the framework of studying sustainable and operational solutions that make it possible to benefit from the economic potentials of all the wilayats of Musandam Governorate, to create job opportunities for Omani youth, and to qualify them scientifically and technically to enter the labor market.

The meeting included a visual presentation on the National Employment Program, its most important views, objectives and areas of work. The scientific and professional paths on which the program is based were also reviewed, and the most important initiatives and digital platforms implemented by the program in cooperation with various partners in society, in addition to presenting demographic details of the job seekers community. In Musandam Governorate, the most important scientific studies conducted by the program for the various development sectors in the governorate through analysis of supply chains and added value.

During the meeting, a memorandum of cooperation was also signed between the Governor’s Office and the National Employment Programme. The memorandum was signed by Sayyid Ibrahim bin Saeed Al Busaidi, Governor of Musandam, and Eng. Azhar bin Ahmed Al Kindi, Technical Director of the Programme, on the part of the National Employment Programme. The memorandum aims to create operational job opportunities, and qualify and train national cadres from the governorate in the economic fields, primarily opportunities related to the tourism and fisheries sectors. It was also agreed that the national employment program would provide specialized training programs in the field of tourism guidance. Because the governorate is full of many unique tourism potentials, which qualify it for good investment in this promising sector.

His Excellency Sayyid Ibrahim bin Saeed Al Busaidi, Governor of Musandam, stressed the importance of these programs and agreements that concern the file of job seekers, and through which it is hoped to contribute to overcoming the obstacles that stand between job seekers and available job opportunities, and it is also hoped to find sustainable solutions for the file of job seekers to match With development plans, and contribute to overcoming current and future challenges associated with this sector.
