The Municipality of Musandam, intensifies its monitoring efforts during the holy month of Ramadan, due to the increase in the movement of food purchases in the governorate’s markets during this period.

The Musandam Municipality confirmed the preparation of a comprehensive action plan that includes intensifying campaigns and inspection tours, and ensuring that health requirements are met for all food establishments and their workers.

Where the competent departments have developed extensive plans and programs to carry out inspection campaigns on shops selling and trading foodstuffs, and to ensure their compliance with the required health requirements, with the aim of strengthening the supervisory role on those establishments to ensure the validity of the offered foodstuffs, and out of  The Musandam Municipality’s concern for the health and safety of consumers of Ramadan food; The Musandam Municipality departments issued special licenses for the preparation and sale of Ramadan food, after ensuring that the follow-up record of the facility was free of any poisoning during the year.

In addition to educating workers on the basic principles of proper preparation, storage and display of products, making them healthy and free from any contaminants.

The governorate abattoirs continue to strengthen health control efforts on the health and safety of carcasses and ensure the provision of slaughter services to consumers, by ensuring the cleanliness of the slaughterhouse facilities and the commitment of workers to all required health requirements, and increasing the number of cleaners and butchers to reduce overcrowding during this period.
