Musandam Winter season to kick off in November

Khasab: The Governorate of Musandam, simultaneously with other governorates, is bracing to receive visitors for the winter season which will be from November 2024 to April 2025. Musandam governorate gains the interest of visitors from all over the world due to its unique archeological, tourist and natural attractions.

Visitors can enjoy marine and land sports, adventure tourism, mountain climbing, discovering caves, beaches and marine locations that are suitable for rowing and diving.

The Ministry of Heritage and tourism pointed out that the number of tourists to the governorate during the previous winter season (November 2023 – April 2024) stood at 68,243 from different GCC, Arab, European and Asian countries, who arrived through cruise ships.

Salah Mohammed Al Farsi, Director of Heritage and Tourism in the Governorate of Musandam said that the number of visitors to historical attractions during the previous winter season stood at 21,972.

He added that there is cooperation between the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism and other public and private entities to promote the natural tourism potentials in the governorate.

These efforts also include highlighting the governorate’s deep rooted history, represented by castles, forts and other components. Al Farsi further noted that there are 10 hotel establishments in the Governorate of Musandam which are distributed on the wilayats as follows: 7 hotels in the Wilayat of Khasab (365 rooms) and 3 hotels in the Wilayat of Daba (128 rooms)..
