Musannah municipality continues to implement development projects

Musanah: The municipality department in the Wilayat of Musannah in the Al Batinah South Governorate continues to implement many developmental, service and development projects that aim to contribute to the development of the investment, commercial and tourism movement in the wilayat, with a construction cost of more than OMR 2 million.

Hamad bin Ali Al-Ghailani, Director of the Municipality Department in the Wilayat of Al-Musanna in the Governorate of South Al-Batinah, said: The municipality department in the state seeks to develop a direct service and development plan for the projects that will be implemented to develop the tourism and economic movement in the state, indicating that it is a quantum leap that contributes to finding services to be added to the service and development projects.

The Director of the Municipality Department in the Wilayat of Al Musna’ah explained to Oman News Agency that the internal road projects that are being implemented in the various villages of the wilayat are 25 kilometers long, at a value of OMR 1,287,970, and others are 15 kilometers in the areas affected by Hurricane Shaheen and located on the coast. The completion rate has reached more than 50 percent.

He said: A project is also being implemented for the construction of the new Al-Maghsir market, at a cost of RO 278,323, and the construction of toilets in Al-Musanna Public Park in Al-Malada, at a cost of RO 14,000, and the supply and installation of lighting for Widam Al-Sahel Beach, at a cost of RO 27,000.

With regard to projects that help create job opportunities for citizens, Hamad Al-Ghailani explained, saying: Developing the kiosk area in the wilayat at a value of RO 37,786, with the supply and installation of ten kiosks at a value of RO 105,000.

The Director of the Municipality Department in the Wilayat of Al-Musanna indicated that among the upcoming service projects that are being implemented is the work of a healthy walkway, paving internal roads in the wilayat, beautifying the main entrances in the wilayat, in addition to supplying and installing 150 lighting poles for the road leading from the village of Al-Turaif to the village of Jama, and installing lighting poles in other areas in the wilayat.

Among these projects is the implementation of a passenger waiting station with a construction value of RO 17,000, explaining that the project includes a waiting room, toilets and a café, and that it will contribute to the process of organizing this sector.
