Muscat: Muscat Electricity Distribution Company continued to register a total of 426,746 subscribers in 2021 compared to 417,079 subscribers in the previous year. That is, an increase of 2.3% as a result of the growth in demand for energy in the Governorate of Muscat.
The increase in the number of subscribers using prepaid electricity meters also continued, reaching 86.5 thousand subscribers, representing 23.3% of the total number of subscribers, compared to 17.7% in the previous year.
