Muscat Governor Sponsors the Omani Tourism Forum

Muscat: His Excellency Al Sayyid Saud bin Hilal Al Busaidi, the Governor of Muscat, sponsored the opening ceremony of the Omani Tourism Forum “Tourism Pioneers”. Rima Events and Conference Planning Company organize it in cooperation with the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Oman Tourism College. This is in the Muscat Hall of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The Omani Tourism Forum aims to empower and sustain the tourism sector in the Sultanate of Oman. The forum also offers a space for exchanging experiences between various parties concerned with the tourism sector. It enhances opportunities for direct communication and promotion of the services, offers and packages of emerging tourism companies.

The Oman Tourism Exhibition with the participation of several youth tourism projects accompanies the forum. The exhibition provides participating companies with an opportunity to display their tourism services and products. It enhances communication between them and visitors and interested audiences.

The opening program included a welcome speech and an introduction to the forum and its purposes, and presenting seven initial tourism projects on stage. It presented its services and offered an overview of them. As well as, highlighting the challenges that face the initial tourism sector.

At the forum’s conclusion, several working papers were presented, which deal with the tourism’s impact on economic development, and how to develop initial tourism projects in the Sultanate of Oman and prepare them for the foreign market. Additionally, a working paper on companies’ governance was also presented.
