Muscat Governorate Organizes Risk Management and Sustainability Forum

Two-Day Forum Reviews Institutional Sustainability and Digital Risks

Muscat: Muscat Governorate is organizing a two-day forum on risk management and business sustainability, held under the auspices of Sayyid Saud bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Governor of Muscat.

Held under the theme “Towards a Sustainable Institutional System that Enhances Governance and Service Flow,” the forum aims to exchange experiences, strengthen institutional integration, and address the management of key governance and service sustainability files amid rapid contemporary developments.

The forum’s programme includes specialized dialogue sessions and workshops that review national and international experiences and examine risks and challenges associated with the digital age.

The event seeks to support the establishment of a sustainable institutional system capable of adapting to ongoing transformations and contributing to the continued progress of domestic development in the Sultanate of Oman.

On the first day, two working papers were presented. Dr. Azza Al Sharji, a specialist in governance, risk management, and compliance at Jadarat Development Academy, presented a paper titled “Decision-Making During Crises: From Risk Management to Corporate Sustainability.”

Another paper, titled “Documenting the Sultanate of Oman’s Experience in Dealing with the COVID-19 Pandemic,” was presented by Dr. Majda Al Salti, who outlined a national project implemented across various sectors in Oman in response to the pandemic.
