Muscat Municipal Council reviews Bawshar Sands, Hawiyat Najm projects

Muscat: The Muscat Governorate Municipal Council meeting today reviewed the Muscat Municipality’s statement regarding service projects, including the “Bawshar Sands” and “Hawiyat Najm” projects in the Wilayat of Quriyat, to be among the entertainment projects in the governorate.

The projects relied on natural components with a modern nature that are available. It has high-quality facilities and sustainable architecture.

During the meeting, which was chaired by His Excellency Sayyid Saud bin Hilal Al Busaidi, and in the presence of His Excellency the Mayor of Muscat, the minutes of the last meeting for the year 2023 were approved, and the recommendations it contained, most notably a statement on the development of the governorate, which included the strategic axes of the governorate based on the requirements of the “Oman 2040” vision. “And the criteria for selecting governorate development projects and infrastructure projects.

The Municipal Council will be given the opportunity to express an opinion on the service projects provided by the Muscat Municipality. With regard to social affairs, the Council reviewed the recommendations of the Social Affairs Committee regarding the phenomenon of dangers of the use and sale of chewing tobacco to society.

The Health and Environmental Affairs Committee also came out with a number of recommendations, the most important of which is hosting Bee’ah Company to review its future plans and the challenges facing the hygiene sector.
