Muscat Municipality awards a tender to implement a project to develop the entrance leading to the Omani Botanical Garden in Al Khoud area

Muscat: Muscat Municipality has awarded a tender to implement a project to expand and develop the entrance leading to the Omani Botanical Garden in Al Khoud area in the Wilayat of Seeb. The project will include the construction of a dual road with two lanes in each direction with high engineering standards, traffic efficiency and safety. The implementation of the project comes from the efforts of Muscat Municipality aimed at enhancing the quality of the road sector, raising the efficiency of traffic movement, and implementing service projects that keep pace with the foundations of development in Muscat Governorate.

The project will include the construction of a two-lane dual road linking the Special Forces roundabout and the Omani Botanical Garden roundabout, with a length of 1.5 km, with a network of secondary roads with a length of 1 km. The project also includes the establishment of the necessary protections, surface water drainage systems, and other facilities that will be implemented in accordance with the highest quality standards in the field.

It should be noted that Muscat Municipality is tirelessly striving to support national efforts to achieve the ambitious vision of “a sustainable, prosperous, vibrant Muscat” through integration with relevant authorities, and providing all basic capabilities related to serving the region, planning and urban neighbourhoods, in an effort to enhance tourism and development activity and improving the quality of life, to consolidate the Muscat’s position as a sustainable tourist destination in line with the goals of Oman Vision 2040.
