    • Muscat Municipality clarifies on Muscat Nights ‘Comic Con’ event

    Muscat: Muscat Municipality would like to clarify certain points regarding the proposed events as part of the ‘Muscat Nights’ celebrations, specifically the ‘Comic Con’ event.

    Unfortunately, much misinformation has been circulated about this event by some social media accounts that failed to contact the organising parties for clarification before publishing such entirely false information. Some individuals have also engaged with this misinformation and made baseless accusations without verifying the accuracy of the details.

    The event will include exhibitions of products in the fields of comic books, games, films, and more. It will also host a group of celebrities from the worlds of cinema, literature, and filmmaking, featuring organised discussion sessions and training workshops. Additionally, there will be interactive gaming platforms, board games, and competitive rounds among participants in an entertainment setting. The event may also showcase digital art exhibitions, live:drawings, and educational lectures on comic book literature and various popular cultures.

    Muscat Municipality assures that all events it organises are appropriate for public sensibilities and upholds the values and good morals observed in the community. This is reinforced in the tender terms and contracts the Municipality signs with event execution companies.

    The Municipality also notes that it will take legal action against anyone who deliberately spreads false and misleading information to incite public opinion through social media.
