Muscat: In view of the approaching Eid al-Fitr, Muscat Municipality announced that the Central Market for Vegetables and Fruits’ readiness has been increased. It worked to improve the market’s capacity, supervision and regulation. Also, following up on food stores’ commitment and their customers with health requirements and preventive measures. It aims to ensure the simple movement of shoppers, working hours have been determined in the market during the period before Eid Al-Fitr. Additionally, ensuring that all market facilities are technically ready, including refrigeration devices for vegetable and fruit stores and refrigerators. It aims to continue its work as required, additionally health, regulatory and commercial preparations.

Working Hours:

To better meet the public’s needs, Muscat Municipality has modified the working hours of the Central Market for Vegetable and fruits from Sunday until next Tuesday.

The working hours will be from 4 AM to 5 PM for main umbrella (wholesale umbrella). For retail storesWholesale from 4 AM until 5 PM, with retail stores continuing working from four4 AM until 11 PM.

While the main canopy (Local production’s location) work will be from 4 AM until 5:30 PM.

While retail stores will continue to work the whole day, from 4 AM until 11 PM.

To simplify the entry and exit of vehicles, entry for vehicles that transport wholesale vegetables and fruits will be through the gateNo. (1) for the period from 4 AM to 11 PM. As for the entry of consumers’ cars (individuals) from gate No. (2) and gate No. (5) during the period from (4:30 am to 10:30 pm).

It is to continue the market is closed on the first and second days of Eid al-Fitr, but working in the market resumes on the third day of Eid al-Fitr. According to previously well-known dates.
