Muscat Municipality implements water drainage canal project in Al Utheibah next to Al Anwar Street

Following the royal directives, Muscat Municipality has recently commissioned the implementation of a surface water drainage canal next to al-Anwar Street in al-Utheibahin the Wilayat of Bausher.

To divert surface water destined for the sixth area of al-Utheibah due to the repeated impact of rainwater and surface water, and due to the lack of a drainage system in that area.

The project is to construct a canal adjacent to al-Anwar Street that is about (2200) meters long; to make the water coming from Sultan Qaboos Street empty out into the existing canal at the airport ground. As well as the construction of culverts under the November 18 Street with two openings 2.5 meters wide and 1.5 meters high, and an open canal with a width of (5) meters, extending from November 18th Street through al-Utheibah park, up to the mouth of the sea with a length of (500) meters; in order to drain the water that collects in the surrounding area during rainfall.
