Muscat Municipality Issues Guidelines for Establishing a hairdressing and beauty salons

Muscat: Muscat Municipality requires the establishment of hairdressing activities and women’s beauty centers on the ground floor and the first floor are limited to only in residential commercial buildings and commercial buildings for new permits. 

Muscat Municipality said in a statement : “Based on Muscat Municipality endeavors to organize licenses for women’s beauty salons activities in multi-stores buildings in a manner that serves the public interest and does not affect the people living in these buildings, it was necessary to highlight the following:

1, Issuing new licenses for hairdressing and women’s beauty salons and centers or similar activities in multi-stores buildings shall be restricted to ground flood and commercial-residential properties and commercial properties.

2,  The licenses will be renewed for hairdressing and women’s beauty centers activities that are currently located in higher floors provided that the ownership of these activities are not transferred or reassigned to others.
