Muscat Municipality issues guidelines for juice shop owners

Muscat: To keep everyone safe and healthy, juice shops need to meet certain health standards. Muscat Municipality has put together a list of guidelines for all juice shop owners to follow to ensure everyone can enjoy their favourite drinks with total peace of mind.

Ensure the shop’s size is suitable for the scale of your business, no less than 20 squared meter

Equip the store with a refrigerator or freezer for proper fruit storage and display

The devices and equipment used in preparing juices must be made of Stainless steel

Clean and disinfect all equipment after each use

Dispose of any remaining juice; do not save it for the next day

Properly dispose of juice waste daily in designated waste collectors or containers made for this purpose

Maintain the shop’s cleanliness at all times

Always wear gloves while working, especially when preparing juices
