Muscat: The 21st edition of Oman Design & Build Week and the Oman Real Estate Expo and Conference will begin tomorrow at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre. The four-day event is organized by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning in partnership with the Oman Real Estate Association and Connect Company.
The opening ceremony will be held under the patronage of Sultan Salim Al Habsi, Minister of Finance.
The exhibition and conference are regarded among the leading events specializing in the real estate, construction, urban planning and infrastructure sectors in the Sultanate of Oman. The event brings together real estate developers, investors, experts, consultants and local and international companies operating in the fields of real estate development, design and construction.
The conference programme includes more than 50 dialogue sessions and working papers presented by over 95 local and international speakers, including officials, decision-makers, developers, architects and specialists from within and outside the Sultanate of Oman.
The sessions will discuss developments in the real estate and urban sectors, in addition to topics related to investment opportunities, urban planning, construction technologies, digital transformation and sustainable development.
The event will also witness the signing of several investment agreements, the launch of new real estate and urban development projects and the presentation of investment opportunities aimed at supporting the growth of the real estate sector in the Sultanate of Oman.
The conference will focus on five main themes, including “Live Oman”, global and regional outlooks for the real estate sector, urban planning and placemaking, digital transformation and real estate technologies, as well as supply chains and construction implementation.
The “Live Oman” theme highlights the Sultanate of Oman’s efforts to enhance quality of life and develop integrated urban communities through infrastructure projects, future cities and sustainable urban planning.
The “Global and Regional Outlook for the Real Estate Sector” theme reviews developments in real estate finance, sustainability, investment trends and capital markets, while the “Urban Planning and Placemaking” theme discusses urban resilience, quality of life and the role of architecture and design in enhancing real estate value.
The “Digital Transformation and Real Estate Technologies” theme addresses modern technologies, including artificial intelligence, blockchain and digital solutions used in real estate development and asset management.
The “Supply Chains and Construction Implementation” theme focuses on construction technologies, infrastructure, local content and mechanisms to improve implementation efficiency and sustainability in development projects.
The accompanying exhibition provides visitors with an opportunity to explore residential and commercial projects, compare housing and investment options and learn about the latest solutions and technologies in the construction and real estate sectors.
