Aluminum Scrap Recycling Symposium in Oman to Address Industry Trends

Muscat: The third edition of the Aluminum Scrap Recycling Symposium will commence next Wednesday in Muscat, with the participation of specialists and stakeholders from across the sector.

The symposium is organized by Sohar Aluminum in cooperation with the Environment Authority, as part of efforts to enhance the efficiency of aluminum scrap recycling in the Sultanate of Oman and to review developments in the sector.

The event is expected to attract more than 100 participants representing government entities, private sector companies working in aluminum production, scrap collection and recycling, as well as industrial waste management.

The programme includes working papers, presentations and panel discussions featuring experts and representatives of regional and international organizations, including the Gulf Aluminium Council.

The symposium will address developments in recycling practices, operational frameworks and key recommendations from previous editions, in addition to reviewing global trends and challenges in the sector.

Discussions will also focus on enhancing local added value, supporting investment opportunities, particularly for small and medium enterprises, and promoting best practices related to sustainability, safety and governance.
