Muscat: Nama Electricity Distribution Company SAOC, Completes electric load transfer to Special Economic Zone at Duqm to main electricity grid of the Sultanate of Oman.

Coinciding with the 53rd National Day, the Nama Electricity Distribution Company team in the Wilayat of Duqm succeeded in completing the process of transferring electrical loads to the Special Economic Zone in Duqm and neighboring areas, and connecting them to the main electrical grid of the Sultanate of Oman by implementing a project to connect the region’s local network with a voltage of 33 KV. F and high voltage lines, voltage 400 K. A subsidiary of the Oman Electricity Transmission Company.

This comes within the main existing projects of Nama Electricity Distribution Company in its first phase, which focused on converting 17 primary stations in Duqm from relying on local energy production and connecting them to the main network.

It is worth noting that this connection will enhance the efficiency of the electrical network and the carrying capacity of electricity demand in the Duqm Special Economic Zone in conjunction with Nama Group’s plan to contribute to zero carbon neutrality in order to achieve the Sultanate of Oman’s 2040 vision.
