The National Museum Hosts Art Exhibition Titled “Beyond the Blossoms”
Muscat: The National Museum, in cooperation with “Bloom Oman,” today hosted an art exhibition titled “Beyond the Blossoms” under the supervision of the international floral consultant, Phubast Chesthmede Vice President of the World Flower Council.
The exhibition was opened under the patronage of Her Highness Dr. Mona bint Fahd al-Said, Assistant Vice Chancellor of Sultan Qaboos University for International Cooperation, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the National Museum.
The exhibition is organized as part of the Sultanate of Oman’s hosting program for the activities of the World’s Association of Floral Artists (WAFA), and the exhibition continues for all visitors until March 30, 2024 CE.
The exhibition reflects the creativity of international floral consultant Phubast Chesthmede by enriching his artistic repertoire by creating unique flower arrangements inspired by Omani artworks and objects distributed in the galleries and corridors of the National Museum.
The expression of his creativity and artistic methods comes from translating the colors, shapes and even the history of the Museum artefacts into floral compositions, which resulted in a wonderful fusion of nature and art.
Jamal Hassan Al Moosawi, Secretary-General of the National Museum, said “We are honored to host the activities of the World Association of Flower Arrangements (WAFA) at the National Museum. We look forward to hosting this global event to exchange artistic experiences and inspiration, as experiences and ideas come together today to paint a wonderful artistic painting that reflects the beauty of art and the culture is precisely inspired by the manifestations of the Omani identity. We extend our special thanks to the creative efforts of “Bloom Oman” and to the international floral consultant, Phubast Chesdmethee who was inspired by the museum’s collections and transformed it into unique floral formations, which enhances the art experience and embodies the beautiful convergence of culture and nature in this event.”
The exhibition will be accompanied by an artistic evening that includes a live artistic display of flower arrangements by an international flower designer in the formation of artistic paintings using different formations of flowers. The evening will also include a fashion show by the same designer in which a group of fashions will be displayed using his artistic creativity, such as designing a robe, head accessories, and hats. – ONA
