National Museum, SQU Delegation Visits Belarusian State University

Minsk: A delegation from the National Museum and Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) visited Belarusian State University (BSU) today as part of the activities accompanying the “Oman Day” celebrations in the Belarusian capital, Minsk.

The delegation was led by Her Highness Sayyida Dr. Mona bint Fahd Al Said, Assistant Vice-Chancellor for International Cooperation at Sultan Qaboos University and Vice Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the National Museum.

The visit commenced with a meeting attended by Andrei Ivanets, Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus, and Dr. Andrei Korol, Rector of Belarusian State University. Discussions focused on strengthening academic cooperation between Sultan Qaboos University and Belarusian higher education institutions, enhancing Arabic language education and cultural exchange programs, facilitating student exchanges and reciprocal visits for researchers, and developing collaborative frameworks that serve the mutual interests of the two friendly countries.

The delegation also toured the Faculty of International Relations at the university.

As part of the accompanying academic program, Jamal bin Hassan Al Moosawi, Secretary-General of the National Museum, delivered a lecture titled “Oman at the Crossroads of Civilizational Communication.” Attended by university students, the lecture highlighted Oman’s deep historical roots and its enduring role as a vital link between global civilizations throughout history.

It enjoys a prestigious global standing, ranking among the top 1 percent of universities worldwide according to the QS World University Rankings 2025.
