National University of Science and Technology celebrates graduation of 1,215 graduates

Muscat: The National University of Science and Technology celebrated this evening at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Center in Madinat Al-Irfan, the graduation of 1,215 male and female graduates, awarding them Master of Science, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor’s and Diplomas in Engineering and Marine Sciences for the academic year 2021-2022 batch.

The graduation ceremony was sponsored by His Excellency Dr. Hilal bin Ali Al-Sabti, Minister of Health, in the presence of a number of university officials and parents of students. After that, His Excellency Dr. Raei, accompanied by the University President, a representative of the University of South Carolina, a representative of Glasgow Caledonian University, and a representative of West Virginia University, as well as the deans of the university’s faculties, handed out graduation certificates to students from all disciplines.

His Excellency also distributed academic excellence awards to 27 outstanding students from the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, the College of Pharmacy, the College of Engineering and the Oman International Maritime College. In recognition of their achievements, academic excellence, and their contribution to enhancing student experience and activities on campus.

The National University of Science and Technology strives with an eye to the future to achieve its vision to be an internationally recognized academic institution that is globally known in delivering the mission of education and scientific research that is reinforced by social values. The university has achieved an advanced ranking locally, regionally and internationally through excellence in all academic aspects.

It is worth noting that the National University of Science and Technology is a leading university in the Sultanate of Oman that began its work in 2018, after merging three leading educational institutions; It is the Caledonian College of Engineering, which was founded in 1996 in academic cooperation with Glasgow Caledonian University in the United Kingdom, and the Amman Medical College, which was established in 2001 AD in an academic partnership with West Virginia University in the United States of America, and the Department of Pharmacy at Amman Medical College.
