Muscat: The National Center for Statistics and Information has begun implementing the work of the 39th session of the Consumer Confidence Survey for the third quarter of 2023, which continues until September 21.
The survey targets citizens aged 18 years and over. The target sample size is a minimum of 1,500 Omani citizens residing in various governorates. The representation of males and females has been taken into account in relation to the community, age groups, and different educational levels. Data is collected by telephone.
The consumer confidence index is one of the important indicators of the performance of economic activity, as the survey aims to measure the development in the financial condition of Omani families and the factors that negatively or positively affect the level of the Omani economy, in addition to identifying the future expectations of the Omani economy and the economic condition of families at the present time and their purchasing power for goods.
