Nepal president receives Oman’s Foreign Minister

Kathmandu: President Ram Chandra Bodhi of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal today received Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, at the Presidential Palace in the capital, Kathmandu.

During the meeting, His Excellency conveyed the greetings of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said (may God protect and preserve him) and His Majesty’s good wishes to His Excellency the President and the friendly Nepalese people for continued growth and prosperity, and for further progress in relations between the two countries.

For his part, His Excellency the Nepalese President asked His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs to convey his sincere greetings to His Majesty the Sultan /may God protect and preserve him/ and his good wishes to His Majesty, the Omani people, and the relations between the two friendly countries for further progress and growth.

During the meeting, the course of bilateral relations between the two friendly countries was reviewed, and the joint keenness to develop them in various fields was emphasized, in a way that would bring mutual benefits to the two countries and their peoples.

A number of issues and developments on the regional and international arenas were also discussed. The meeting was attended by His Excellency Ambassador Issa bin Saleh Al Shaibani, Non-Resident Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Republic of India and Non-Resident Ambassador to the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, and a number of officials from both sides.
