27 international students joined Sultan Qaboos Institute for Teaching Arabic to Non Native Speakers in Manah
Manah: Twenty-seven male and female students from the United Kingdom, France, Belgium, Germany, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Russia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, South Korea, Japan, Comoros, Colombia, Brunei Darussalam, Thailand and the Sultanate of Oman have joined the Sultan Qaboos Institute for Teaching Arabic to Non-Native Speakers in the Wilayat of Manah, Ad Dakhiliyah Governorate.
The introductory program for the students included meeting with the teaching and administrative staff and supervisors of the cultural program for this session, an introductory tour of the institute’s facilities and the services it provides to students, then watching a detailed visual presentation about the Sultanate of Oman, its civilization, culture, and people, and the elements that make it a destination for learning the Arabic language.
In addition to studying the Arabic language, the students’ programme includes many activities, lectures, cultural evenings and educational trips to various historical and natural sites. This course will last for 8 weeks and will end on October 31st. Students will study 160 hours of Arabic language and its various skills.
The Sultan Qaboos Institute for Teaching Arabic to Non-Native Speakers, affiliated with the Sultan Qaboos Higher Centre for Culture and Science at the Diwan of Royal Court, is a prominent cultural landmark and edifice that provides students with an easy and accessible way to learn Arabic at the hands of highly qualified Omani teachers.
It is a bridge for cultural and civilizational communication between the Omani people and the rest of the world’s peoples and contributes to conveying Omani culture and civilizational heritage to the world.
