Al Buraimi Central Market Adopts Visual Identity Inspired by Heritage
Al Buraimi: Al Buraimi Municipality today launched the visual style of Al Buraimi Central Market, reflecting the municipality’s approach towards developing traditional markets in a manner that preserves their historical identity while enhancing their urban presence and economic impact.
The launch stems from an integrated vision aimed at improving the urban landscape, upgrading the quality of public facilities, and creating a more organized and attractive commercial environment. The initiative seeks to reflect the spirit of the place and its historical depth, while meeting the aspirations of the local community and visitors.
The new visual style draws inspiration from the architectural and cultural heritage of Al Buraimi Governorate, incorporating design elements derived from Omani castles and forts, traditional wooden door engravings, and geometric decorations rooted in local architecture.
It also reflects features of the surrounding natural environment, including oases, palm trees, and aflaj (traditional irrigation channels), which have historically formed the lifeblood of the region and played a central role in its economic and social activity.
The visual identity embodies a thoughtful balance between authenticity and modernity, utilizing recurring geometric patterns with deep cultural and social symbolism, alongside color schemes inspired by the natural environment of Al Buraimi.
The new style symbolizes values of stability, fertility, and commercial vitality, and is applied across all elements of the market, including shop façades, corridors, public spaces, promotional materials, and digital applications, contributing to a cohesive and distinctive visual presence for the market.
