Oman’s GDP Grows by 2% in Third Quarter of 2025

Oman Records Steady Economic Growth in Q3 2025

Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman’s gross domestic product (GDP) at constant prices recorded a 2 percent growth in the third quarter of 2025, reaching RO 9.911 billion at market prices, compared to RO 9.713 billion during the same period in 2024.

Preliminary data released by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) indicated that this growth was mainly driven by a 2 percent increase in the added value of non-oil activities, which amounted to RO 7.303 billion by the end of the third quarter of 2025, compared to RO 7.160 billion in the corresponding quarter of 2024.

At the level of economic activities, the construction sector grew by 1.3 percent, reaching RO 1.035 billion, while wholesale and retail trade activities increased by 1.3 percent to contribute RO 830.5 million. Meanwhile, public administration and defence activities recorded a growth of 1.5 percent, reaching RO 932.5 million during the third quarter of 2025.

Oil activities also posted growth of 1.9 percent, reaching RO 3.068 billion in the third quarter of 2025, compared to RO 3.010 billion during the same period in 2024.

Within the oil sector, crude oil production rose by 2 percent to RO 2.555 billion, compared to RO 2.506 billion in the third quarter of 2024. Natural gas activities increased by 1.6 percent, recording RO 512.8 million, compared to RO 504.7 million in the same period last year.
