North Al Batinah Maritime Festival continues

Sohar: The activities of the North Al Batinah Maritime Festival will continue under the slogan “Tidal and Tides”.

Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Salem Al Qasimi, Director of North Al Batinah Maritime Festival, explained that the festival witnessed a variety of marine activities, the latest of which was the inauguration of the floating artificial island with an area of ​​​​300 square meters, including cafes and restaurants.

He added that the festival’s activities include approximately 52 daily main events, marine exhibitions, the House of the Noukhatha, the Heritage Village, and the heritage exhibits and collectibles associated with the sea in the past, in addition to the accompanying weekly artistic and chanting activities, and the province’s states competition, where each state presents its ancient and modern maritime history.

On the benefit of small and medium enterprises and productive families from the festival, Al Qasimi said: Since its inception, the organizing committee of the festival has been keen to benefit small and medium enterprises and productive families from this festival, and to attract them with encouraging incentives to display their products and services, as 24 small and medium enterprises and 94 productive families participate in the festival. They have spaces in different locations of the festival.

The director of the North Al Batinah Maritime Festival pointed out that the competitions and marine sports are present in the North Al Batinah Maritime Festival, where a number of races and marine sports are held according to a daily schedule throughout the festival period, including the Al-Shush/ Al-Qablan loading race, the fiber boat show, the rowing races, the rafting race, and the Dafar race. Al-Mahamel, where these competitions and marine sports are distributed along the beach of Al-Manial Park.
