North Al Batinah Maritime Festival kicks off

Sohar: The activities of the North Al Batinah Maritime Festival kicked off this evening, which included a lyrical operetta that included paintings embodying the history of the maritime city of Sohar and a number of women’s arts for which North Al Batinah Governorate is famous.

The activities of the festival were sponsored by His Excellency Eng. Yaqoub bin Khalfan Al Busaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources for Fisheries Resources, in the presence of His Excellency Mohammed bin Sulaiman Al Kindi, Governor of North Al Batinah, and a number of honorable members of the State Council and their excellencies members of the Shura Council and governors.

His Excellency the Governor of North Al Batinah confirmed in a speech on this occasion that the North Al Batinah Maritime Festival provides an overview of the maritime history of this governorate and its famous marine arts and traditional crafts.

His Excellency explained that the festival provided an opportunity for the participation of owners of small and medium enterprises and productive families to display their products. The festival’s activities will be held in Al-Manial Park in the state of Sohar, and on an artificial island on an area of ​​​​300 square meters in the sea, close to the park.
