North Al Batinah OCCI and Credit Oman sign MoU

Sohar: The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Al Batinah North Governorate branch, today signed a memorandum of understanding with Credit Oman, the government company in the field of credit insurance and enabling Omani exports, owned by the Omani Investment Authority.

It was signed by Eng. Saeed bin Ali Al-Abri, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Chamber’s branch in the governorate, and by Credit Oman, Sheikh Khalil bin Ahmed Al-Harthy, CEO of the company.

The signing of the memorandum came within the framework of the continuous efforts to support all economic activities in the Sultanate of Oman and in line with the objectives of Vision 2040 aimed at creating a diversified economy by enhancing production and exports of non-oil activities, supporting owners of small and medium enterprises and serving business owners.

The memorandum of cooperation aims to facilitate export credit insurance procedures and grant insurance facilities to members of the Chamber, in addition to holding joint workshops, providing financial and economic consultations, contributing to supporting and encouraging industrial projects for members of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry branch in North Al Batinah Governorate, and opening horizons for exporting their products in global markets.
