North Al Sharqiyah Municipality completes Paving 31km Internal Roads in Wilayat of Al Qabil

Al Qabil: The Municipality of North Al Sharqiyah Governorate has completed the internal road paving project in the Wilayat of Al Qabil, with a length of 31 km and a cost estimated at 1,500,037,037 Omani riyals.

Eng. Mohammed bin Salem Al Tobi, Director of the Projects Department at North Al Sharqiyah Municipality, explained in his statement to the Oman News Agency that the projects are part of the matrix of priorities in the development and beautification projects in the governorate, noting that North Al Sharqiyah Municipality is implementing a number of projects with the aim of providing the appropriate environment in residential neighborhoods and industrial and commercial areas in the governorate’s wilayats, in order to achieve the approach of continuous development and meet the basic needs of development projects.

He stressed that these projects vary between road paving projects and rehabilitation of roads damaged by weather conditions, in addition to beautification projects for the entrances to a number of villages and residential neighborhoods in the governorate’s states, explaining that some of these projects have been completed, some are in the implementation stages, and others are in the final stages of procedures to begin their implementation work during the coming period.

Eng. Mohammed Al Tobi pointed out at the end of his speech that the North Al Sharqiyah Municipality is continuing to launch new projects to pave and rehabilitate internal roads during the coming period, as new projects will be announced in the governorate’s wilayats, according to the priority and general plan for projects that seek to meet the needs of the wilayats for internal roads and other development and beautification projects.

This comes within the framework of the internal road projects currently being implemented by the North Al Sharqiyah Municipality in a number of the governorate’s wilayats, within the framework of the general plan for service, development and beautification projects implemented by the municipality during the year 2024, as the implemented projects vary between paving roads and rehabilitating roads damaged by weather conditions, in addition to beautification projects for the entrances to a number of villages and residential neighborhoods in the governorate’s wilayats.

It is worth noting that the North Al Sharqiyah Municipality is currently continuing to implement a number of projects in the governorate’s wilayats at a cost of more than 5 million Omani riyals, most notably the project to pave internal roads in the wilayat of Bidiyah, with a length of 56 km in a number of the wilayat’s villages, at a total cost estimated at more than 3 million Omani riyals, and the project to implement maintenance and repair works for the “Al Wariyah Road” in the wilayat of Al Mudhaibi at a cost of more than 98 thousand Omani riyals, in addition to the project to rehabilitate and maintain a number of roads in more than one location in the wilayats of Al Mudhaibi, Sinaw, Dima and Al Taiyyin, at a total cost estimated at more than 816 thousand Omani riyals, and the project to rehabilitate, treat and repair damaged roads in the wilayats of Ibra, Al Qabil, Bidiyah and Wadi Bani Khalid at a cost estimated at more than 612 thousand Omani riyals, in addition to implementing repair and upgrading works for the internal road in the Saih Al Khashita area in the wilayat of Sinaw in the North Al Sharqiyah Governorate, and implementing the mountain walkway projects in the wilayat of Wadi Bani Khalid, and developing the village of Al Dhaher in the wilayat of Bidiyah.
