North Korea has Banned its citizens from laughing, drinking alcohol and shopping from Friday noways to mark the 11-day mourning on the 10th anniversary of former leader and Kim Jong Un’s father, Kim Jon-il

People cannot even celebrate their own birthdays if they fall within the mourning period,” the North Korean told Radio Free Asia.

Kim Jong II rules North Korea from 1994 until his death in 2011. He was success by his third and youngest son, current leader Kim Jong Un.
