Engineer Talal bin Bakhit Al-Hajri, Head of the Maintenance Department at the Projects Department, explained that the project comes within the strategy and priority of maintenance, repair and rehabilitation work, due to the relative damage that some roads have suffered as a result of the climatic conditions that the governorates of the Sultanate of Oman have witnessed recently, and the implementation of this project comes with the aim of maintaining the level of Road performance, ensuring safety for users and increasing their lifespan for use.

He added that the work included in the project includes addressing the collapse of the protection of the affected ferries by constructing a protection wall for the affected protections, in addition to treating the asphalt and concrete roads, and repairing and adding protection on both sides of the road, stressing that the cost of the project amounts to RO 98,304.

It should be noted that the Municipality of North Al Sharqiyah is currently implementing a number of internal road paving projects and projects to repair, treat and rehabilitate a group of roads in various states of the governorate, after many of these roads were damaged as a result of climatic conditions that led to the flow of valleys and reefs.
