    • Civil Aviation Authority Issues Weather Alert for Dust Storms in Oman

    Muscat:  The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) said that northwesterly wind activity beginning today will affect all governorates of the Sultanate of Oman and continue for several days.

    The Authority stated that the impact is expected to be concentrated in desert and open areas, causing dust and sandstorms and reducing horizontal visibility.

    The CAA added that sea conditions along the western coasts of Musandam Governorate will be moderate, with wave heights reaching up to 2 metres.

    The Authority urged the public to exercise caution, particularly in areas affected by reduced visibility and strong winds.
