OCCI Chairman Receives UAE Trade Delegation

Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) today received a business delegation from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) led by Dr. Thani Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade.

The meeting explored means of developing trade and economic relations, as well as enhancing the trade exchange between the two countries.

Businessmen and businesswomen were briefed on investment opportunities in the two countries.

The meeting also touched on mechanisms of diversifying and enhancing joint interests between the two sides. Emphasis was laid on investment sector in commensurate with markets in both countries.

The meeting also highlighted mechanisms of exploiting joint investment opportunities. It also urged businessmen to set up joint ventures between the two sides.

The Omani imports from UAE hit more than RO 2.957 billion till the end of August 2022 whereas the Omani exportsto the UAE stood at more than RO 890.9 million.

The meeting was attended by Faisal Abdullah Al Rowas, Chairman of OCCI Board of Directors and Omani businessmen.
