OCCI delegation from North Batinah visits Iran

Shiraz: The delegation of the branch of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the North Al Batinah Governorate visited today the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture in the Iranian city of Shiraz, headed by Engineer Saeed bin Ali Al Abri, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Chamber branch in the governorate.

At the beginning of the visit, the delegation witnessed the meeting held by His Excellency Qais bin Muhammad Al-Yousef, Minister of Trade, Industry and Investment Promotion, with Iranian businessmen in the Shiraz Chamber, in the presence of His Excellency Faisal bin Abdullah Al-Rawas, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and a number of Omani businessmen.

Many views were presented about Investment opportunities, public facilities and incentives provided by the Sultanate of Oman to foreign investors.

The visit included a meeting with a number of businessmen and investors in the city of Shiraz, in addition to discussing opportunities for cooperation and partnership in a number of promising commercial sectors between the Sultanate of Oman and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The delegation was briefed on Iranian products manufactured and produced in the city of Shiraz, production lines and means of export by visiting the exhibition held at the headquarters of the Shiraz Chamber, in addition to holding discussions on mechanisms for working on commercial agreements of understanding and cooperation that can be concluded within the framework of achieving joint economic returns.

A number of members of the delegation also visited some factories in the city of Shiraz, including various industrial, food, metals, plastic and wood products, carpets and textiles.
