OCCI delegation reviews Saudi’s experience in railway

Riyadh: A delegation from the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Al Wusta Governorate, at the conclusion of its visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, was briefed on the experiences of railway industries and incentives for industrial zones.

The delegation visited the Saudi Railway Company (SAR). During the visit, they learned about the Saudi experience in managing railways, and learned about investment opportunities in this field.

The delegation also visited the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones, and listened during the visit to an explanation of the investment features in industrial zones and the incentives and features provided for the investor.

The delegation also visited a date factory and a rice farm, during which it learned about ways to transform dates into high-value products and introduce them into multiple industries, and methods of growing rice in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Honorable Dr. Salem bin Salim Al-Junaibi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Central Governorate Branch, and head of the delegation, explained that the visit yielded many results; The delegation was briefed on the investment environment and business climate in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, especially in the Eastern Province, and on distinctive experiences, especially in the industries involved in train projects, adding that the businessmen in the Omani delegation discussed with their counterparts in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia establishing partnerships to establish investment projects in a number of fields.
