Over 30 SME Owners Join Sixth ‘Tamkeen’ Training Programme in Al Buraimi

Al Buraimi: The sixth edition of the business training initiative “Tamkeen” was launched today at the premises of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) branch in Al Buraimi Governorate.

The initiative, which focuses on empowering small and medium enterprises (SMEs), forms part of a specialized training programme aimed at enhancing the readiness of SMEs and strengthening their capacity to compete for government tenders and development projects.

More than 30 SME owners are participating in the programme. The “Tamkeen” initiative is being implemented by OCCI in cooperation with the Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit, the Authority for Projects, Tenders and Local Content, and the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (Riyada).

The initiative provides participating enterprises with practical guidance on registering with the “Esnad” platform, Oman’s national electronic system for managing government tenders and procurement. It also equips participants with the skills needed to prepare competitive bids, thereby enhancing the participation of local enterprises in national development projects.

“Tamkeen” reflects OCCI’s continued commitment to empowering SMEs, developing their capabilities, and supporting their contribution to economic diversification objectives under Oman Vision 2040.
