Salalah: Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) today launched an initiative to achieve self-sufficiency and activate the agriculture and livestock sector in the Sultanate of Oman.
The ceremony was held under the auspices of HH Sayyid Marwan Turki Al Said, Governor of Dhofar. The initiative named “Qadiroon” (We Can) includes intensive training courses and field visits to livestock breeders and workers in the field of modern farming in different governorates of the Sultanate of Oman.
The organizers will provide those operating in the field of livestock with modern technologies to enhance their performance and their endeavours to achieve food security and enhance the national economy. The initiative reflects the keenness of the OCCI and private sector partners to encourage investment in natural resources, protect them and utilize their potential in achieving food security in line with Oman Vision 2040.
