Nizwa: The branch of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) in A’Dakhiliyah Governorate today organized a specialized training workshop on risk management, with the participation of project owners, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), and representatives of government and private sector institutions.

The workshop was presented by Saud bin Nasser Al Busaidi, Lecturer in Communications and Public Relations at the University of Technology and Applied Sciences (UTAS).

The workshop reviewed the latest concepts and strategies related to identifying, assessing, and managing risks, while highlighting methods that support the sustainability of economic establishments and enhance their readiness to address various challenges.

The programme aimed to raise awareness about the importance of anticipating risks that may affect economic growth and business performance. It also focused on mechanisms for transforming challenges into opportunities through effective planning and sound management practices.

Participants were introduced to the role of risk management in supporting strategic decision-making, ensuring business continuity, and strengthening competitiveness in an evolving economic environment.

The workshop forms part of the OCCI branch’s efforts in A’Dakhiliyah Governorate to provide technical support and capacity-building programmes for the private sector in line with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040.
