OCCI organizes ‘Youth Enterprise Forum’ in Muscat 

Muscat: The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, today organized an event titled ‘Youth Enterprise Forum’ that focused on means of enhancing and supporting the role of youth in entrepreneurship and innovation.

The forum reviewed the challenges facing entrepreneurial projects in terms of strategic approaches set out by the OCCI to improve the business climate in Oman and expand the base of economic diversification in line with (Oman Vision 2040) and provide opportunities for young entrepreneurs and innovators to utilize their energies and innovations in supporting the national economy.

His Excellency Sheikh Faisal Abdullah Al Rawas, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said that the forum works to enhance the role of youth in entrepreneurship and celebrate their achievements and projects in order to enhance the capabilities of these projects and enable them to expand locally, regionally and internationally.

He said that the focus of the forum is on promising sectors such as innovation, artificial intelligence, tourism, environment, real estate development, education and health services, which are sectors full of opportunities and relied upon to achieve economic diversification.

His Excellency stated that the forum’s keenness to celebrate the achievements of youth projects, introduce them, and highlight the aspirations and innovative capabilities of the small and emerging enterprise sector, dedicates its role in bridging the relationship between youth projects and various parties, as this is evident in the accompanying exhibition, which embodies the efforts made by our ambitious youth and is strengthened. This is due to the role played by the Chamber in reviewing the challenges and obstacles facing entrepreneurial projects and conveying views and proposals for solutions to the competent authorities.

The forum introduced a number of youth projects and presented working papers that highlighted the role of exceptional leadership, performance indicators, human resources planning and means of building commercial identity, and developing companies.

An exhibition held on the sidelines of the forum provided further exposure about youth projects and enterprises.
