OCCI Reveals completion of ‘Raastha’ first Indian film to be shot in Oman

Muscat: The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) revealed in a press conference today the completion of filming of “Raastha” as the first Indian film to be filmed in the Sultanate of Oman, is all set to release on January 5, 2024, which establishes a new phase in which the Sultanate of Oman assumes its position as an attractive destination for filming films and attracting international filmmakers, with positive repercussions that extend to… Tourism, investment and economic aspects.

HE Sheikh Faisal bin Abdullah Al Rawas, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said that, through its strategic directions consistent with the Oman 2040 Vision, seeks to expand the base of economic diversification by supporting the sectors relied upon in this direction, most notably the tourism sector, as Raastha The film will work to promote the Sultanate of Oman’s topography and geographical locations that reflect the richness of the tourism product, which will attract more visitors, especially since this promotion will benefit from the spread of the Indian film industry in various continents of the world.
