Doha: Oman Human Rights Commission (OHRC) and its Qatari counterpart reviewed areas of joint cooperation within the framework of mutual coordination on the regional and international levels.
The two sides also exchanged expertise and best practices in matters related to human rights, among other topics.
This came during the visit of OHRC’s delegation, headed by Dr. Rashid Hamad Al Balushi, Chairman of the OHRC to the State of Qatar.
Moreover, the delegation was introduced to the regulations of the Qatari commission and its structure, as well as the methodology of choosing its members.
Meanwhile, the delegation met with Sultan Hassan Al Jamali, as the Executive Director of the Arab Network for National Human Rights Institutions.
During this meeting, the two sides highlighted areas of cooperation. They also discussed the matter of organizing workshops and training sessions in Oman. – ONA
